| | Hello there. HubSpot's release notes, changelog and newsroom were quiet overnight, so today belongs to the people running the platform. A partner shares the seven Claude prompts behind its weekly pipeline review, a team finds a third of its signups landing as non-marketing contacts, and admins push for tighter, smarter permissions. In today’s newsletter, we’ll get into: - A HubSpot partner runs seven Claude prompts on its pipeline every week, from stalled deals to single-threaded ones, with write tools kept on approval.
- About 30% of one team's signups through a non-HubSpot form are created from click tracking instead, so they miss the welcome email.
- New ideas ask for a fixed yearly discount on contracts and for sales managers to reassign leads without Super Admin rights.

| | 🤖 Seven Claude prompts for a weekly pipeline review. A HubSpot partner shared the seven prompts it runs every week through HubSpot's Claude connector: stalled deals past 21 days in stage, deals with no next step, passed close dates, single-threaded deals, odd amounts, this quarter's closes and a summary for the meeting. Two tips: keep write tools on Needs Approval, and name the pipeline in every prompt. Time-in-stage checks need Pro or Enterprise. 📭 A third of one team's signups miss the welcome email. A team capturing an Angular signup form with the Non-HubSpot Forms tool says about 30% of signups arrive as non-marketing contacts. Those records show Analytics and web page click interactions as the source, with no form submission on the timeline, so the onboarding workflow cannot email them. Marketing-contact creation is switched on. If you track a single-page app form the same way, check your record sources. | |

| | 💶 Contracts cannot take a fixed discount per year. A Diamond Partner posted an idea for a fixed discount on each contract year's total. With billing on, discounts only work per line item, and negative line items are blocked, so a negotiated amount off each year has nowhere to go. The result, they say, is contracts and auto-created invoices showing gross instead of agreed net values, which skews forecasting and revenue reporting. 🔐 Let sales managers reassign leads without Super Admin. Another idea asks for a separate permission so managers can reassign Qualified and Disqualified leads without account-wide admin rights. Billing, user management and marketing would stay locked. A related request wants SMS activity to get the same granular view permissions as emails and calls, because one multi-brand portal now logs blank SMS activities for sensitive brands. 🏢 Stop stray HubSpot accounts on your company domain. An admin wants Super Admins to verify company email and website domains and then block or approve any new HubSpot account that uses them, free accounts included. Users would be routed to the approved account, admins notified of attempts, and sandboxes allowed as exceptions. If shadow portals keep popping up in your company, this idea is worth backing. | |

| | 🧾 Sage 100 invoices inside the HubSpot company record. New in the Marketplace, Elyone Invoice Plug + Sage 100 syncs Sage 100 invoices into HubSpot, so sales and finance can see invoices and payment status on the company profile. It can also send payment reminders for overdue invoices from HubSpot. It is a fresh listing with a handful of installs so far, so test it before rolling it out. 🧭 Setting up from scratch? Chat support is not the place. A new user said they lost three days in the support chat trying to set up a workflow, pipeline, website and sales reporting. A community expert replied that support is not built for initial setup, and pointed to HubSpot Academy's free courses and HubSpot's paid onboarding services instead. Useful to share with any client starting a fresh portal. | |
