| | Hello there. HubSpot kept its release notes to itself again, so the community supplied the plot. A Free account watched Gmail reject most of a campaign, an admin lost an afternoon to a workflow step that does less than its name suggests, and a team asked whether you can pause HubSpot without losing your setup. Coffee first, then the details. In today’s newsletter, we’ll get into: - A HubSpot Free sender saw 414 of 655 emails soft bounce with Gmail's 550-5.7.1 unsolicited mail block, and replies point to the shared sending domain.
- The Apply association labels workflow action does not create associations, so use Create associations, which can apply a label in the same step.
- Cloudingo, which finds and merges duplicates across contacts, companies, deals, tickets and custom objects, is new in the HubSpot Marketplace.

| | 📭 Gmail rejected 63% of a HubSpot Free campaign. One Free account sent 655 marketing emails and 414 soft bounced with Gmail's 550-5.7.1 unsolicited mail block. Replies say it is a Gmail filtering call, not an authentication error, and that every Free account shares the hubspotfree.hs-send.com domain. Their advice: sort bounces by domain, check email health and restart with your most engaged contacts. Read the Gmail bounce thread before your next send. 🧭 Why paid leads show up as Direct traffic. A co-founder of Tulu, a marketing ops and analytics tool built on HubSpot, posted four checks for when paid leads land in HubSpot as Direct traffic. He discloses the affiliation up front and says you do not need his product for any of them. He used to audit lead-gen tracking at a performance agency. If your ad spend looks invisible, run through the four tracking checks. 🔗 Meta domain verification stuck after a half-finished connection. A user who abandoned connecting Meta Business Suite to HubSpot, because HubSpot asked for full ad account permissions, now gets a message that the domain has already been verified by another business. A community manager pointed to a domain claimed in another Meta business portfolio, but the user has only one. If you hit the same wall, follow the Meta verification thread. | |

| | ⏸️ Can you pause HubSpot and come back later? A team paying for 2 Sales Hub Professional seats and Marketing Hub Starter asked whether they can stop paying and resume later without losing contacts, deals, custom properties and workflows. A community expert pointed them to HubSpot's guide on the effects of downgrading a paid subscription. If you are trimming software costs, read the downgrade discussion before you cancel anything. 🧾 Line items still need too much manual work. Two new ideas target line items. One asks for bulk updates without needing a unique line item ID for every record, plus dropdown filters in reports instead of free text. Another asks to sort and filter the line item table on a deal, for example by billing start date. If you manage subscriptions in deals, back the line item bulk update idea. 📉 How small teams track churn in HubSpot. A German-language thread asks how teams on Free, Starter or smaller Professional setups spot customers at risk of leaving without enterprise reports or paid apps. The questions cover which properties flag churn risk, how to keep inactive customers in view with list filters or tasks, and what works day to day. German-speaking admins can share their churn setup in the thread. | |

| | 🪤 Apply association labels does not create the association. An admin found a workflow was not linking company records because its only step was Apply association labels. That action labels an existing association. You need Create associations first, and that step can apply a label at the same time. The idea asks HubSpot for clearer helper text on workflow actions, so check the association labels idea and audit similar workflows. 🧹 Cloudingo brings deduplication to the Marketplace. Cloudingo is new in the HubSpot Marketplace and finds, merges and prevents duplicates across contacts, companies, deals, tickets and custom objects. That last part matters, since custom objects are where many cleanup tools stop. If duplicate records are skewing your reports, look at the Cloudingo listing and compare it with HubSpot's own duplicate tools. 🤖 Cominty lets AI agents work in your CRM. Another new Marketplace app, Cominty, gives its AI agents access to HubSpot CRM so they can search and update contacts, companies, deals, tickets and activities in plain language. It is a very new listing, so test it in a sandbox and review the permissions it asks for. The Cominty Marketplace listing has the details. ✉️ Help Desk agents want one-click email. In Help Desk, a contact's email on a ticket can only be copied. One team asks for it to open the HubSpot email composer with the contact and ticket filled in, since agents now go through the plus menu or the contact record first. A related idea asks HubSpot Social for a filter showing only posts waiting on your approval. Vote for the Help Desk email idea if your agents feel the same friction. | |
