A summary of everything we covered between 12 and 18 October 2026, grouped so you can see the shape of the week rather than seven separate days.
AI got a budget, and agents got more to work with
On the 16th HubSpot gave customers real AI spend controls: spend caps are on by default, with an account-level credit limit up to 50% above monthly credits, customers can swap seats for credits without waiting for renewal, and credits can be bought in packs for a flat monthly rate or pay as you go. Wall Street was watching the same subject. On the 13th Barclays cut HubSpot to Equal Weight with a $240 target, saying AI-driven growth will take longer than it expected.
Agents also got more data and better instructions. HubSpot published Marketplace connectors that let Breeze read and update Google Docs (the 15th) and Google Sheets, plus a PostgreSQL connector that syncs both ways with the CRM (the 16th). On the 15th HubSpot Academy built a deal rescue agent in Agent Builder with no code, and on the 17th a HubSpot employee published a step-by-step Customer Agent playbook covering knowledge sources, channels, handoff options and free testing before credits apply. For pipeline reviews, a partner shared on the 14th the seven Claude prompts it runs every week, with write tools kept on Needs Approval.
Admins asked for tighter permissions
A steady stream of ideas came from admins who want more control. On the 13th one said users lean on Breeze to get around record edit rules and asked for bulk edit limits by permission set, while another wanted to stop cloned views from multiplying. On the 14th requests asked for sales managers to reassign leads without Super Admin rights, and for Super Admins to block stray HubSpot accounts on the company domain. On the 15th reps asked for a warning when they create a duplicate lead.
On the 16th an idea asked HubSpot to separate empty associations from permission errors, and on the 17th a multi-entity team wanted workflows to pick the Help Desk From address by property. If one of these matches your portal, add your vote.
Email deliverability and tracking under the microscope
Email came up almost daily. On the 12th a marketer saw much lower engagement in HubSpot email than the same list had in Mailchimp. On the 14th a team found about 30% of signups through a non-HubSpot form arriving as non-marketing contacts, so they miss the welcome email. On the 15th a community expert answered the bigger question with a ten-step deliverability plan for teams moving email into HubSpot: confirm permission, suppress unsubscribes and hard bounces, judge results by clicks, replies and spam reports, and note that shared IPs need no warm-up while dedicated IPs get an automated 40-day one.
Some problems have no fix yet. Customer Portal emails still cannot be customized or switched off, raised on the 15th and again on the 16th. On the 17th a global company had to turn off email tracking for everyone after rules in France and Italy, because the setting cannot be split by region. And on the 18th an idea asked for separate mobile styling in the marketing email editor.
Billing, revenue and the apps around them
Revenue Hub drew attention all week. On the 14th a Diamond Partner asked for a fixed discount on each contract year, since discounts only work per line item, and a new Sage 100 app began syncing invoices onto the company record. On the 17th a RevOps lead asked whether Revenue Hub is enough without a CPQ. Replies said standard renewals work, but usage metering, co-terming and mid-contract changes push teams back to spreadsheets or custom middleware. The Revenue Hub team takes questions in an AMA from October 26 to 30. On the 18th a European user learned that SEPA transfers to a Stripe virtual account likely will not mark HubSpot invoices paid on their own, because HubSpot invoices are not created in Stripe.
The integration list kept growing. StackTie listed Zendesk Sync and monday.com Sync on the 17th, with more on the monday.com app on the 18th. And on the 16th an admin asked whether Salesforce's new API security changes will break the HubSpot Salesforce sync, a question still without a straight answer.
